CLIMATE CONTROL VENTILATION SYSTEMS FAQ
Why would I want a Climate Control Network System in my home?
Uponor's Network System is an integrated computer hardware and software package that connects
all of your home's heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems to a single control. This control gives you complete and easy command of every system installed — radiant heating, forced- air heating and cooling, ventilation and humidification — through your home computer or online.
The Network System is also energy efficient, as the heating, cooling and air quality systems it controls do not fight each other, as they do when controls are not integrated. This is a smart control that manages both or all systems, sharing information with every component in the network, optimizing comfort and efficiency.
How do I use it?
The Uponor graphical user software package is highly intuitive and easy to use. Along with simple thermostat control, you also have system information at your fingertips.
You can view all of the current room temperatures and check the status of each device. Changing the temperature and humidity settings is easy as are the modes of operation – heating, cooling, humidification or ventilation. You can schedule for daily and weekly setbacks, and can even preset your vacation.
Can I manually adjust anything?
Yes, you can change the display modes, room setpoint temperature, humidity setpoint, fan speed and a heat recovery ventilator from any thermostat in the control system
or the Touch Panel Interface (TPI). You can also manually control certain devices, such as the fan speed for either heating and cooling or humidification through a heat recovery ventilator.
What is Uponor's Optional Notification System?
With this add-on feature, your contractor can be notified about a service issue by e-mail or cell phone. This feature eliminates the inconvenience of having to contact your contractor should your system need service.
Why is the Climate Control Network System a good investment?
The Network System offers a cost- effective way to enjoy the ultimate in comfort and accessibility. It removes the complexity and redundancy found in traditional HVAC setups because all your heating, cooling and ventilation systems are integrated. It's easier to install, so it cuts labor costs. And because it allows you to better monitor the various comfort systems in your home, you achieve the ultimate in comfort while at the same time saving energy costs. |
